India tour schedule announced

India will play their first one-day international against Sri Lanka on January 28 in Dambulla, Sri Lanka Cricket announced on Thursday.
Sri Lanka host India in between a two-leg tour of Pakistan, where they are due to play three one-dayers starting next week before returning for two Tests later in February.
India were scheduled to play Pakistan this month but that tour was abandoned due to the Mumbai terror attacks. The Board of Control for Cricket in India then struck a deal with SLC and will play five one-dayers and a Twenty20 international on a tour there instead. Dambulla will also stage the second one-dayer on January 30 before the action shifts to Colombo.
The Premadasa Stadium will host the third and fourth one-dayers on February 2 and 5, while the final game will be played at the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) ground on February 8.
The SSC, which is also in the Sri Lankan capital, will host the only Twenty20 international on February 10.

India cricket team to tour Sri Lanka next month

India will play five one-dayers and a Twenty20 international against hosts Sri Lanka next month to help fill the gap created by their cancelled tour of Pakistan, officials said Tuesday.
The dates and venues for the hastily arranged series will be announced within a few days, Indian cricket board secretary N. Srinivasan told reporters after talks with Sri Lankan board officials.
“India and Sri Lanka have a very long and close relationship in cricket, among other things, and we will continue to support Sri Lankan cricket in future,” said Srinivasan. Indian media reports said the upcoming tour was likely to take place between February 1-15 and all matches would be played in Colombo.
